Submit Yourself for Auditions
Important:
In order to see all information available about a project and submit yourself, you must be logged into your Casting Networks profile.

1. Log in to your Casting Networks profile.

2. Click the Direct Cast™ tab.

Be sure that you are looking in the right category. You can choose either Direct Cast™ Principals or Extras.

3. Scroll down the page to view all available projects organized by role.

You can sort roles by clicking the "All Roles Fit For Me" drop-down feature.

You can also use our Advanced Filters to have control over what projects you want to view while logged into Direct Cast™, whether it's Union/Non-Union, Paying or Non-Paying projects.

You can also search by typing a keyword or phrase into the search field.

Select a project by clicking the Role name, Project Name or any text in the same project’s section .

A pop-up window will display the project details and roles.

The role you clicked will be listed first under a Blue Bar.

Other roles that fit the settings in your profile will be under the next heading.

All the other roles in the same project will be listed last.

You may need to scroll down to see all available roles.

 

 

4. Click submit next to each role you want to submit for.

A new window will open and display the role you selected, your contact information and your photos.

 

5. Confirm that your contact information is correct.

Click the checkbox next to any photos you would like to hide in your submission.

Note: Digital photos will not be shown here but are automatically submitted.

You may be asked to enter credit card information if you are not signed up for the Direct Cast™ Premium Service, which allows unlimited submissions for a $5 monthly fee.

Click Submit at the bottom of the page.

You’ll get a successful confirmation page if the submission went through.

A green star will then appear next to the role on your Direct Cast™ page.

It's that easy!!

Important - Please only submit yourself on projects for which you are appropriate!

 

Troubleshooting

When you are logged in and attempting to submit to an audition, do you see the following?

  1. Old photos (or a mix of old and new) in the submission field.  
  2. Duplicate photos in the submission field.  
  3. Blank gray space in the submission field.

You may need to clear the cache on your browser! This will update your internet files and let you see the most recent version of your profile.

Information on Features:
The drop-down select menu on the right filters the list by displaying:
  • Non-Union Projects - lists only non-union projects.
     
  • Non-Union Projects Fit For Me - lists only non-union projects which, based on your profile, fit your desciption.
     
  • All Projects Fit For Me - lists all projects which, based on your profile, fit your description.
     
  • Union Projects - lists only union projects.
     
  • Union Projects Fit For Me- lists only union projects which, based on your profile, fit your description.

Interested in Extra Work? Update Your Preferences!
If you would like to do Commercial Extra Work:
All you need to do is update your online profile (see below).

If you are interested in Film Extra Work:

  1. Update your online profile (see below).
     
  2. Come into our main office to have a digital photo taken.
  1. Make sure that you update all of your contact information so that you can be reached at a moment's notice. This is especially important with your text message info!
     
  2. Click on Audition/Extra Prefs. on the left side of your screen. Update your preferences so that Casting Directors know what type of work you are interested in.
     
  3. Fill out as much information as possible so that Casting Directors and Agents can see all of your talents!
